TRIBUTE TO GARY MOORE ~ STILL GOT YA BLUESSS

Tribute to Gary Moore : Dead at 58

Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore dead at 58

LONDON – Bandmates say rock guitarist Gary Moore, a former member of influential Irish band Thin Lizzy, has died. He was 58.
Manager Adam Parsons told the BBC that Moore was found dead Sunday at a hotel on Spain's Costa del Sol, where he was on holiday. The cause of death was not immediately known.
Thin Lizzy drummer Brian Downey said Moore's death was a "total shock," and guitarist Scott Gorham said he was "a great player and a great guy."
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1952, Moore was a member of Dublin band Skid Row before joining Thin Lizzy in 1973, playing on tracks for the "Nightlife" album. He left after four months, but rejoined four years later and played on the band's "Black Rose" album before going solo once again.
He had a successful solo career, and his accomplished, bluesy playing won plaudits from other musicians.
Thin Lizzy had global hits in the 1970s with songs like "The Boys are Back in Town" and "Whiskey in the Jar." Frontman Phil Lynott died in 1986, but with a different lineup the band continues to tour today.
Funeral details were not immediately available.

Use to be so easy
To give my heart away
But I found that the haeartache
was the price you have to pay
I found that that love is no friend of mine
I should have know'n time after time

So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you

Use to be so easy
Fall in love again
But I found that the heartache
It's a roll that leeds to pain
I found that love is more than just a game
Play and to win
but you loose just the same

So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you

So many years since I seal you face
You will my heart
there's an emty space
Used to be

(SOLO)

So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you

Golden days come and go
There is one thing I know
I've still got the blues for you
Dia menjadi idola gitaris seperti Vivian 'Hot Shot' Campbell (Dio), Jake E Lee (Ozzy Osbourne), Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden) dan Kirk Hammett (Metallica).

Sebagai seorang yang suka merendah diri, dia bermain gitar seawal usia lapan tahun. Inspirasi utamanya The Beatles dan Elvis Presley.

Apapun, lagu Still Got The Blues Blues masih berpengaruh dan diminati hingga sekarang. Berita kematiannya disahkan bekas pengurus, Adam Parsons.
Kali terakhir Moore menghasilkan album pada 2008 menerusi Bad For You Baby.

Dalam satu temu ramah di Switzerland, Moore menceritakan inspirasi di sebalik Still Got The Blues.

"Saya mahukan yang baru dan spontan. Saya mahu merakam album blues kerana ia muzik pertama saya sejak zaman kanak-kanak. Ia begitu dekat di hati saya," katanya. Apa yang jelas, nama Gary Moore terus berada dalam ingatan di kalangan legenda gitar hebat seperti Stevie Ray Vaughn, Randy Rhoads dan Hendrix.
