AirAsia offers low fares to Paris
PETALING JAYA: AirAsia X, the long-haul affiliate of AirAsia, is offering one-way fares from as low as RM400 from Kuala Lumpur to Paris to mark its second European destination after London.
The all-in fare for travel between Feb 14 and Nov 10 next year is up for grabs online from 7am on Monday to Wednesday.
In a statement in Paris yesterday, the airline said the four direct flights per week between Paris Orly International Airport and KLIA’s Low-Cost Carrier Terminal would commence on Feb 14.
The promotional seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis exclusively at www.airasia.com.
AirAsia Group CEO Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes said the Paris-KL route was the realisation of a long-held ambition to open up yet another access between Asean and Europe.
“Being a truly Asean airline, we are committed to promoting tourism and travel throughout and beyond the region.
“This new route will benefit everyone, enabling magnificent holidays in beautiful locations, encouraging economic and tourism activities, bringing in revenue and creating job opportunities,” he said.
The new route will be serviced by the Airbus A340 aircraft with a 327-passenger capacity, including 18 Premium FlatBed seats, which is a standard business class offering.
AirAsia X CEO Azran Osman Rani said the inaugural flight from KL to Paris on Feb 14 was the airline’s Valentine Day gift for people in the Asean region who want to celebrate the occasion in the romantic city of Paris.
“Likewise, Parisians may now look to Asean as their dream travel getaway,” he said.
